"From a superb vintage in McLaren Vale, this exhibits a vibrant purple hue. An appealing nose with notes of leather, cloves, black olives, chocolate, blackberries and smoked meats – a nose of substance. The texture is plush and seductive, quite creamy, and the wine well focused, generous and with serious length. Ripe in style, it finishes with silky tannins. Absolutely delicious, this will provide pleasure for at least the next ten to twelve years. Really impressive."

"Richly fruited and enticing, the bouquet shows black/blueberry, clove, violet, and cedar characters with a hint of cocoa. The palate delivers excellent weight and plump mouthfeel, wonderfully framed by fleshy texture and layers of polished tannins, offering terrific drinking. At its best: now to 2034."

"A more powerful and structured wine than the standard shiraz. It is still largely fruit-driven with just enough winemaking involvement to manage it through. Intense dark fruits of blackberry and plum with a light dusting of dry earth. Fine chalky tannins provide structure while the wine retains an appealing texture. Like it."
