Aroma
The bubbles are fine, and the mousse persistent. The full nose, wonderfully expressive, is both fresh and young. It gives off aromas of red fruits (freshly crushed wild raspberry, cherry, blackcurrant).
Palate
On the palate, this wine strikes a fine balance of a velvet texture and full body taste. The flavours are reminiscent of fresh, crisp red fruits. The palate can be summed up in four words: lively, fruity, fresh and elegant, as only a rosé blend can be.
Appearance
The intense and brilliant body is bright pink in colour.

Full salmon-pink colour. Toasty and bready tirage-aged characters, smoky and truffley too. Complex - a very tasty balance between mellow aged character and fruit. It's rich and full in the mouth with ample body and good concentration. The finish is dry and firmish. A rich, generously-flavoured but elegant wine with terrific drive and persistence.

Famous house Taittinger is known as a chardonnay-dominant Champagne producer, but to me, this delicious wine makes more of a pinot noir statement. It starts with the colour, a rather deeper salmon-pink than the very pale hue that’s currently fashionable. It smells of strawberry shortcake, crême pat and finely-integrated yeasty and smoky complexities, a great mix of pinot freshness and Champagne maturity. With fine texture, good depth and substance, this is flavoursome yet elegant, finishing with just enough phenolic firmness for balance. A Champagne for food.
