Vintage notes
The 2023 vintage was long and cool, picking later than we traditionally do. The cool conditions allowed the grapes to slowly ripen, resulting in perfectly balanced flavours and natural acidity.

Highly aromatic, and highly pleasing as a result. Florals, brown spices such as star anise, dark plums, dabs of cedary oak and more. The fuller-bodied palate is plush, soft almost, with pliable, velvety tannins, then a little grip on the finish. I preferred this over its reserve because there's a savouriness within and obviously less oak.

James Suckling
92 Points

Fragrant with dark-fruit aromas of blackberries and plums as well as black pepper, anise, violets and graphite. The palate is medium- to full-bodied with firm, finely structured tannins and a savory, mineral-edged mouthfeel. A polished, focused expression with freshness and depth. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
