“A parcel and barrel selection from the Greenock Vineyard: 94% Cabernet, 4% Franc, 1% Malbec, 1% Petit Verdot. The aromatics speak the grape variety and the place; dried bay leaf, lavender, ripe plum, dark cherry, blackcurrant, cocoa and graphite. Ripe black, olive and currant saturate the palate. There is some warmth, but so is drive and a lifting, ethereal Cabernet character. Savoury and definitive tannins carry on.”
