"The Clare is one of those places which engenders fierce debate as to whether it best suits Shiraz or Cabernet. The only answer is to taste widely and decide for yourself and the pair from this winery is a good start. This is an opaque purple with notes of plums, blackberries, chocolate, tobacco leaves, dried herbs, mulberries and a hint of fresh red apples. Quite a refined style, medium weight and with a lingering finish supported by sleek tannins with exemplary balance. Enjoy over the next seven to ten years."
