“Fruit expressive and perfumed, the bouquet shows dark berry, floral, warm spice and toasted nut aromas. It's beautifully rounded in the mouth delivering fleshy texture combined with well-integrated tannins, offering excellent drinking. At its best: now to 2032.”

“A blend of 63/37% cabernet sauvignon/shiraz from the western subregion of Greenock; matured in French oak (26% new) for 16 months. Murray Street’s take on the Great Australian Blend shows deep crimson in the glass with aromas of blackberry and blood plum cut with fine spice, licorice, dark chocolate, earth and light blossom notes. Balanced, graceful and packed with spicy black fruits, fine, chalky tannins and a bright line of acidity on the sustained finish.”

“The great Aussie red blend from a superb vintage, the split here is 65% Cabernet and 35% Shiraz. The source was six discrete blocks at Greenock. After fermentation, the fruit was basket pressed to tank for a couple of days before it was placed in French oak hogsheads and barriques (8% new) for sixteen months. The colour at this early stage is inky maroon. The nose exhibits notes of blackberries, aniseed, leather, smoked meats, warm earth, cloves and bay leaves. An appealingly supple texture with fine tannins, good balance and a good line of acidity. There is decent length here, with a persistent finish. It will drink well for at least the next six to eight years.”
